Two instruments for smaller files — a smart compressor that picks the better format and a quality reducer that can hit an exact target size — with a live preview in the box above. Your image is processed locally and never leaves this tab.
Re-encodes your image on a canvas at the quality you choose. In Auto mode it encodes both JPG and WebP and keeps whichever is smaller; you can also force JPG, WebP or lossless PNG. The size comparison shows source versus output and the exact percentage saved.
Example
photo.jpg · 812 KB · Auto · quality 80…
↓
236 KB WebP — saved 71%, visually near-identical.

A dedicated JPG quality dial — drag it down and watch the file shrink in real time. Or set a target file size in KB and the tool runs a binary search over the quality setting, keeping the highest quality that still fits under your limit.
Example
2.1 MB photo · target 300 KB…
↓
289 KB — the best quality that fits the budget.

Your image never leaves this tab. There's nowhere for it to go.
This page has no backend. Upload, compression and export all happen on a canvas inside your own browser — no server, no CDN hop, no storage bucket. Close the tab and the image is simply gone.

Questions
Asked often, answered plainly.
( 02 )
What does the compressor actually do?
It re-encodes your image on a canvas at the quality you choose. In Auto mode it encodes both JPG and WebP and keeps whichever is smaller. The preview and the size comparison update instantly, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Why can the PNG output be bigger than my source?
PNG is lossless — it stores every pixel exactly, which for photos is usually larger than lossy formats. For photos, use Auto, JPG or WebP. PNG makes sense only for graphics with flat colors or when you must keep every pixel identical.
How does the target file size mode work?
The Quality Reducer runs a binary search on the JPG quality setting — up to eight encoding passes — and keeps the highest quality that still fits under your target in kilobytes. If even quality 5% is too big for the target, it gives you the smallest it can make.
Does my image ever leave my device?
No. Upload, compression and export all happen inside your browser tab using the canvas API. The page has no backend, so there is nowhere for the image to go — not even to a CDN.
