Asked often, answered plainly.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. IrisTool has no backend and no database. Every image tool processes files inside your browser tab — your photos and designs never leave your device. There is no upload step at all.
Why is on-device processing better for images?
Two reasons: speed and privacy. There is no upload time, no server queue and no third party holding a copy of your picture. Everything happens locally, usually within milliseconds of you opening a file.
Which formats can I convert between?
The Image Converter group covers JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG, with conversion in both directions wherever the format supports it. Each converter lists its supported directions on the group page.
Is image compression lossy?
The Optimization group offers both: lossless compression that preserves every pixel, and quality-targeted compression that trades a little fidelity for a much smaller file — always with live before-and-after byte counts.
Do the image tools work on mobile?
Yes. Every page is responsive and works in any modern browser on any device. On phones, images are processed locally the same way — no data usage, no uploads.
